Pennysteel Cottage is located in the beautiful fishing village of Staithes in North Yorkshire, where the young Captain Cook started his career. It is an old fisherman’s cottage dating back to 1800 overlooking Staithes’ picturesque harbour.
The oak beamed and wood panelled cottage is set in the heart of the village, and has breathtaking views over the harbour from every room and from its sun terrace. It has managed to retain much of its original character.
The cottage is situated only 20 yards from a first class fish restaurant and local public house, which also serves excellent bar meals. The village also boasts two other pubs, a range of cafés and restaurants, as well as the Captain Cook Museum, antique and craft shops. MORE
